sleeping horses

    Sleeping horses

    As i sit here with a very bad cold i am able to look out the window at my horses. this is what i see! Thay have eaten there fill of grain and hay, they now bask in the sun planning there day, there eyes drifting shut and legs locked still, as they drift into sleep standing up on that hill. hmmm i wonder what do they dream, is it green grass to nibble at, they look so serene. there heads sagging downwards as the go deeper into sleep.. there mudd covered coats all red muddy riped and torn make them look ?well so folorn...a twitch of a ear,a bob of the head.a eye opens up.. there waking from bed...a twist of the neck a head rising high ,the nose opens up they stretch out real wide..nap time is over play time is here..i found it relaxing just watching them stare ..into there sleep thinking of who knoes what..??? now play time......how i love my horses ann egloff 1/30/2011
